Downloads and bookmarks are still saved even after closing a private window. The browser supports extensions from Chrome Web Store.Ī private window in Brave Browser prevents Internet browsing history from being stored and cookies vanish when you close the window. They do not require installation on your computer and do not require a system restart the way traditional programs often do. You can download Brave for Windows, Linux, and Mac.Įxtensions are programs that live and run directly on the browser. The other advantage of a web browser is saving about 5 seconds of load time per page on a typical cell connection by not downloading ads and trackers. The Browser offers also a Brave Sync option that allows you to sync encrypted browser data between your devices. You can check statistics of blocked elements and you have access to advanced settings where you can define if you like to use HTTPS everywhere, blocks scripts, 3rd part cookies, ads, phishing and malware components, etc. In other browsers, you can add ad blocking extensions but they still allow display some ads and all trackers. I have accounts for those that in no way relate to accounts with passwords that I use in Brave.Ī password manager like Keepass or Password safe lets you separate passwords for the different Browsers even more.By default, the browser blocks trackers and ads so you can browse the web faster and safer.

Of course it woould probably be the same the other way around. Because 'my' Brave is not loaded up with extraneous 'junk' it is still fast.

Once 'my' Firefox is running Extensions and Add Ons it tends to slow down a bit. I use Brave for most of my real day to day stuff because it is fast and tidy, and a copy of firefox for my more interesting stuff:

I believe (obviously I could be wrong though) that each Extension you add to a browser adds a little more vulnerability to it, and that the more extensions a browser has to think about (yeah, they don t actually think yet - but A.I. One of the things to consider with Brave, is that it is probably wise NOT to add lots of Browser Extensions to Brave.
